Follow your friends anywhere

I recently came across an article about a company called Pelago. They are developing a application called Whirl that allows you to download a small web app to your cel phone. Once the web app is downloaded and installed you can scan for nearby attractions, receive ongoing events, invite your friends and tag locations you've been too and if you liked them or not and get this, it's FREE..well, so they say, because nothing is actually free right. Ok, ya about that free part, here's the deal, Pelago is going to get their revenue by letting advertisers target your movements. My biggest concern here is obviously the Privacy of users. Here's their Privacy Policy, take a look for yourself and be the judge of if you want to sign up or not. I do have to admit, for someone who likes to travel and stay in touch with his friends from all over the World, this is an interesting web app I may just give a test drive and see what happens. Check back later and I'll post a blog about what I think.

Fence Fabric launches

We've just finalized the Fence Fabric website project. This was a re-design of their existing website, utilizing the same theme and colors. We improved the navigation and the flow of the site, making it much easier for users to both know where they're at in the site and where to go next. We used 100% CSS and added a few Flash elements such as a photo slide show player, our own in house video player and some mootools ajax for image enlarging.

New Video Technology DimP Player

DimP is a new Video player technology that allows a user to Drag moving objects in a video with the mouse. This technology could soon replace the way we currently view videos. Think Tivo for your YouTube, allowing a user to pause, rewind and and fast forward a video without using the scroll bar.

Don't believe me? See it for your self below.

I can see this having a number of uses, take a product in a E-Commerce website for example, where a user can control the speed of a Product demo. Then there's the Sports sites such as ESPN and the NFL Network. If they implement this technology in their video players the user would have the ability to view videos frame by frame, making it perfect for those close calls or referee blunders.
