Ok I was finally able to get my hands on the new Samsung Instinct and walked away not impressed. I played with it for a 10 minutes and found the EVDO network to be slow and even unresponsive at times requiring me to start over...ugh.
The phone touch screen is more about pressure touch than just touch and slide, which isn't too bad once you get used to it, but still not as nice as the iPhone.
TV quality is low and because of the slower network, the video lagged and froze to often.
I found the screen size just OK and the Applications took up a lot of the screen space over the Application window.
It doesn't have WiFi, so you can count that option out.
It doesn't support External Downloadable Apps such as Googles Mobile Maps, Search, etc.
So I'm left waiting for the phone that's going to meet all my needs still.
iPhone - Thumbs down (AT&T stick you for everything plan, no stereo bluetooth, no 3D view GPS with voice, no SD card slot, no MMS, no VOIP via WiFi connection, no video camera.)
Samsung Instinct - Thumbs down (Sprint slow / unresponsive EVDO network, no external Apps, no WiFi, poor screen resolution.)
So I'm waiting for the Spring when Android phones will start showing up with all the carriers.

New Samsung Instinct - iPhone Killer

Hey everybody, I've been studying the new Samsung Instinct due out from Sprint on June 20th and I have to say it's Extremely impressive compared to the iPhone from Apple.
Here's a list of its top Features:
3G
Full GPS and turn by turn - not in iPhone
Shoots Video - not in iPhone
Video player
MMS - not in iPhone
SMS
Stereo Bluetooth - not in iPhone
External SD - not in iPhone
Removable Battery - not in iPhone
IMAP push mail
POP mail
Gmail support
Yahoo support
AOL
Hotmail
Full WAP 3G speed browser - faster than Safari on iPhone
2mpxl Cam
wide screen qwerty keyboard for SMS - not in iPhone
and only $135 bucks - Wow, iPhone $199
$99 a month unlimited everything.
You have to Admit, Samsung and Sprint did a really good job adding all the features that Apple didn't with the iPhone and at a cheaper cost and a earlier release date of June 20th.
As with anything I suggest getting out there and trying the phone out every way possible to make sure it works for you before you purchase, but the word on the street from techies and bloggers is all good so far.
Take a look for your self - here's the link to the Search on You Tube.

The Amazing Disappearing Car Door
Say what? what are you talking about, is this some kind of magic trick? That's what I thought at first when my Mom sent me a link to this car with a Disappearing Door. I'm not sure why someone hasn't thought of this sooner, but it really does make complete sense in every way possible. Just like the seat belt that came from Tucker motor cars and the mouse that came from Jobs at Apple, now we have the disappearing car door from Jatech LLC.
Imagine the possibilities, no more door dings, parking in smaller spaces, no squeezing in back seats, you simply step in and step out, that's it.
Well I was amazed when I saw this and I hope you will be too.

Spin Imaging Re-launches after updates
We recently finished updating a number of key elements for a new client of ours, Spin Imaging. We improved their site content areas by adding retractable panels, moved the Gallery image selection to a drop down nav from the Gallery button, enlarged the Print Specs area to cover more space of the design and built a custom admin for adding or deleting their own images from the gallery.
Spin Imaging is a High Res graphic image print company that specializes in vehicle wraps, but they also provide image wrapping for buildings, store fronts and billboards.

Recently found Twitter and really enjoying it, there's a few things I wish were better, but overall it's a fun site. A Twitter group would be a cool new feature, meaning you can set levels of access to viewers and adding outline color to the Twits of your friends from the group, maybe even a filter tab to see just your groups twits as well.
If you're reading this and don't know what I'm talking about, then go to Twitter and check it out. Twitter is basically a website that allows you to say what ever you want in 140 Characters or less. Then you can sign up to others posts or "twits" as they call them to see what people are talking about, feeling, doing, etc.

Follow your friends anywhere

I recently came across an article about a company called Pelago. They are developing a application called Whirl that allows you to download a small web app to your cel phone. Once the web app is downloaded and installed you can scan for nearby attractions, receive ongoing events, invite your friends and tag locations you've been too and if you liked them or not and get this, it's FREE..well, so they say, because nothing is actually free right. Ok, ya about that free part, here's the deal, Pelago is going to get their revenue by letting advertisers target your movements. My biggest concern here is obviously the Privacy of users. Here's their Privacy Policy, take a look for yourself and be the judge of if you want to sign up or not. I do have to admit, for someone who likes to travel and stay in touch with his friends from all over the World, this is an interesting web app I may just give a test drive and see what happens. Check back later and I'll post a blog about what I think.
